যখন গান, নাচ, আবৃত্তি বা কোনো কাজের নির্দিষ্ট ছন্দ-তাল/ক্রম ভেঙে যায় এবং গতি বা সামঞ্জস্য হারিয়ে ফেলে—সে অবস্থাকে ‘তালছাড়া’ বলা হয়; কথ্য ব্যবহারে পরিকল্পনাহীন, এলোমেলো বা অসংলগ্ন পরিস্থিতিকেও বোঝায়
