সংস্কৃত ‘স্ব’ (নিজ) + ‘ছন্দ’ (ইচ্ছা/রুচি/স্বভাব; স্বাধীনতা) থেকে গঠিত; অর্থে ‘নিজের ইচ্ছামতো/বাধাহীনভাবে’ থেকে ‘আরামদায়ক/স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যপূর্ণ’

Formed from Sanskrit ‘स्व (sva, self)’ + ‘छन्द (chanda, inclination/liking; freedom)’, shifting from ‘as one pleases/without constraint’ to ‘comfortable/at ease’

Definition

যে অবস্থায় মানুষ মানসিক বা শারীরিকভাবে আরাম বোধ করে, সংকোচ বা অস্বস্তি থাকে না, এবং সহজে চলাফেরা/কাজ করতে পারে—সে অবস্থাকে স্বচ্ছন্দ বলা হয়
