বিদ্যালয়ে যে শিক্ষক একটি নির্দিষ্ট শ্রেণির সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধান, উপস্থিতি, শৃঙ্খলা, অভিভাবক-যোগাযোগ ও প্রশাসনিক কাজ দেখাশোনা করেন; অনেক ক্ষেত্রে তাকে সেই শ্রেণির ‘ক্লাস টিচার’ বা ‘হোমরুম টিচার’ বলা হয়
