Definition

নদী, খাল, পুকুর বা অন্য জলাশয়ের ধার বরাবর যে তট বা ঢালু পাড় থাকে, তাকে ‘নিভাল’ বলা হয়; কখনও বাঁধ/তটরক্ষার ঢালু অংশকেও বোঝায়

‘নিভাল’ refers to the sloping edge or bank along a river, canal, pond, or other waterbody; it can also denote the sloped part of an embankment used for bank protection
