Origin & History
বাংলা ‘নামা’ ক্রিয়া (নিচে যাওয়া/অবতরণ করা) থেকে ভবিষ্যৎ কালের প্রত্যয় ‘-বে’ যোগে ‘নামবে’; মূল ধাতু সংস্কৃত ‘নম্’ (নমন/নিচু হওয়া, ঝোঁকা) এর সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত।
Formed in Bengali from the verb “নামা” (to descend/alight) plus the future suffix “-বে” → “নামবে”; ultimately related to the Sanskrit root “नम् (nam)” meaning “to bend, bow, become low.”
Definition
‘নামবে’ বলতে বোঝায়—কেউ বা কিছু ভবিষ্যতে নিচে নামবে/অবতরণ করবে, অথবা কোনো বাহন থেকে নামবে; প্রেক্ষিতভেদে ‘কমবে/হ্রাস পাবে’ অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয় (যেমন তাপমাত্রা/দাম নামবে)।
“নামবে” means “will descend/come down/land” in the future (3rd person singular), or “will get off/alight” from a vehicle; depending on context it can also mean “will decrease/drop” (e.g., temperature/price will fall).
