‘মিনতি’ শব্দটি ফারসি/উর্দু উৎস (মিন্নত/মিন্নত) থেকে বাংলায় এসেছে; অর্থ ‘অনুনয়, বিনীত অনুরোধ’। ‘করছে’ হলো ক্রিয়া ‘করা’-এর বর্তমান চলমান রূপ
