আরবি ‘কুরআন/কোরআন’ (القرآن) শব্দ থেকে বাংলা ‘কোরআন’, তার সঙ্গে বিশেষণসূচক প্রত্যয় ‘-ইক’ যুক্ত হয়ে ‘কোরআনিক’ গঠিত

Formed in Bengali from Arabic ‘Qur'an’ (القرآن) via Bengali ‘কোরআন’, plus the adjectival suffix ‘-ইক’ to mean ‘pertaining to the Qur'an.’

যা কোরআন (ইসলামের পবিত্র গ্রন্থ)-এর পাঠ, ভাষ্য (তাফসির), বিধান, নীতি বা শিক্ষা-সংক্রান্ত—তাকে ‘কোরআনিক’ বলা হয়
