খোলসা বলতে সাধারণত কোনো বস্তু (যেমন বাদাম, শস্য, ফল) থেকে বাইরের খোলস/আবরণ খুলে ভেতরের অংশ বের করার কাজ বোঝায়; কথ্য ভাষায় কোনো কিছুর বাহ্যিক আবরণ বা খোলসকেও ‘খোলসা’ বলা হয়
Kholaśa commonly refers to the act of removing an outer shell/peel (e.g., from nuts, grains, or fruits) to take out the inner part; in colloquial use it can also mean the outer shell or covering itself
