কাউকে জোরপূর্বক বা কৌশলে ধরে নিয়ে গোপন স্থানে লুকিয়ে রাখা বা আটক করা; প্রায়ই এমনভাবে যে তার অবস্থান সম্পর্কে কেউ কিছু জানতে পারে না—একে ‘গুম’ বলা হয়
