চিপ বলতে সাধারণত (১) কম্পিউটার/ইলেকট্রনিক যন্ত্রে ব্যবহৃত সেমিকন্ডাক্টর-ভিত্তিক ক্ষুদ্র সমন্বিত বর্তনী (আইসি/মাইক্রোচিপ) বোঝায়; (২) কিছু প্রেক্ষিতে আলুর পাতলা কাটা ও ভাজা খাবার (চিপস) বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়
