যজ্ঞ, পূজা বা হোমে দেবতার উদ্দেশে অগ্নিতে ঘৃত, তিল, সমিধা ইত্যাদি নিক্ষেপ করে যে নিবেদন/উৎসর্গ করা হয় তাকে ‘আহুতি’ বলে; বিস্তৃত অর্থে কোনো মহান উদ্দেশ্যে স্বেচ্ছায় দেওয়া ত্যাগ বা উৎসর্গকেও ‘আহুতি’ বলা হয়
