From Bengali/Sanskrit-based ‘আদর্শ’ (Sanskrit ‘आदर्श’, meaning model/standard) + the Bengali suffix ‘-ীকরণ’ (denoting the act/process), i.e., the process of making or treating something as an ideal

কোনো মতবাদ, নীতি, চরিত্র বা ঘটনাকে বাস্তব জটিলতা ও সীমাবদ্ধতা উপেক্ষা করে আদর্শরূপে গড়ে তোলা, মানদণ্ড হিসেবে স্থাপন করা বা অতিরঞ্জিতভাবে মহিমান্বিত করে উপস্থাপন করার প্রক্রিয়াকে ‘আদর্শীকরণ’ বলা হয়
