From year + book; in the sense of an annual record/publication, especially used for school annuals in American English from the late 19th–early 20th century.
year (वर्ष) + book (पुस्तक) से बना; वार्षिक रिकॉर्ड/प्रकाशन के अर्थ में, विशेषकर स्कूल की वार्षिकी के लिए, इसका प्रयोग अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में उन्नीसवीं सदी के अंत–बीसवीं सदी की शुरुआत में प्रचलित हुआ।
Definition
A yearbook is a book published once each year that records the people (often students and teachers) and notable events of a particular year, especially in a school; it usually contains photographs, names, activities, and short memories or messages.
ईयरबुक (वार्षिकी/स्कूल वार्षिकी) वह पुस्तक है जो हर साल प्रकाशित होती है और किसी विशेष वर्ष के लोगों (अक्सर छात्र व शिक्षक) तथा प्रमुख घटनाओं का रिकॉर्ड रखती है; इसमें प्रायः तस्वीरें, नाम, गतिविधियाँ और छोटी यादें/संदेश होते हैं।
