Definition
In anatomy, the windpipe is the trachea—an airway tube in the neck and chest that carries air between the larynx (voice box) and the lungs. The word can also be used more generally for any air duct, and in some slang it may refer to the anus.
शरीर-विज्ञान में windpipe का अर्थ श्वासनली (ट्रेकिआ) है—गर्दन और छाती में स्थित वह नली जो कंठ (लैरिंक्स/स्वरयंत्र) और फेफड़ों के बीच हवा का आवागमन कराती है। यह शब्द सामान्य अर्थ में किसी भी वायु-नलिका के लिए भी प्रयुक्त हो सकता है, और कुछ बोलचाल/स्लैंग में यह गुदा के लिए भी कहा जाता है।
