water + course से बना शब्द; अंग्रेज़ी में आरंभिक आधुनिक काल से प्रचलित, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ ‘पानी के लिए मार्ग/धारा का रास्ता’ है।
Definition
A watercourse is any channel—such as a river, stream, canal, or drainage channel—through which water flows from one place to another, either naturally or by human construction.
जल-प्रवाह (वॉटरकोर्स) कोई भी प्राकृतिक या कृत्रिम नाला/मार्ग है—जैसे नदी, झरना/नाला, नहर या जल-निकासी चैनल—जिसके माध्यम से पानी एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक बहता है।
