लैटिन un- (नहीं) + aequivocus (समान ‘स्वर/अर्थ’ वाला; अर्थात द्विअर्थी/अस्पष्ट) से, लेटिन के उत्तरकालीन रूपों के माध्यम से; अंग्रेज़ी में इसका प्रयोग मुख्यतः 18वीं शताब्दी के आरम्भ में स्थापित हुआ।

Unequivocal describes something stated or shown so clearly that it cannot be misunderstood or interpreted in more than one way.
Unequivocal उस बात/संकेत/रवैये को कहते हैं जो इतना स्पष्ट और बिना किसी दुविधा के हो कि उसका गलत अर्थ न निकाला जा सके और न ही उसे एक से अधिक तरह से समझा जा सके।
