Definition
Tenure refers to (1) the length of time someone holds a job, office, or position, and (2) the legal right or mode of holding property/land; in universities it can mean a permanent post that protects a teacher from dismissal without proper cause.
Tenure का अर्थ है (1) किसी नौकरी, पद या दायित्व को संभालने की अवधि, और (2) संपत्ति/भूमि को रखने का कानूनी अधिकार या तरीका; विश्वविद्यालयों में यह अक्सर स्थायी नियुक्ति को भी दर्शाता है, जिसमें उचित कारण के बिना नौकरी से हटाने से संरक्षण मिलता है।
