Definition
A tadpole is the early life stage of a frog or toad that lives in water, swims with a tail, and breathes mainly through gills before developing legs and lungs during metamorphosis.
टैडपोल (डिंभक) मेंढक या भेक का शुरुआती जीवन-चरण होता है जो पानी में रहता है, पूँछ की मदद से तैरता है और पूर्ण रूप से विकसित होने (कायांतरण/मेटामॉर्फोसिस) से पहले मुख्यतः गलफड़ों से साँस लेता है तथा बाद में पैर और फेफड़े विकसित करता है।
