A symposium is a formal gathering where experts discuss a specific subject, often through short talks or presentations followed by questions and discussion; historically, in ancient Greece it also referred to a social drinking event with philosophical or intellectual conversation.
संगोष्ठी (symposium) एक औपचारिक सभा/सम्मेलन होता है जिसमें किसी विशेष विषय पर विशेषज्ञ छोटे भाषण/प्रस्तुतीकरण देते हैं और उसके बाद प्रश्नोत्तर व चर्चा होती है; ऐतिहासिक रूप से प्राचीन यूनान में यह बौद्धिक बातचीत के साथ होने वाली मदिरापान-सभा को भी कहा जाता था।
