A subfloor is the hidden, structural floor layer installed over joists; it supports the finished flooring (like hardwood, tile, or carpet) and helps keep the surface stable and level.
सबफ़्लोर (उप-फर्श) दिखाई देने वाले फर्श के नीचे की संरचनात्मक परत होती है, जो जोइस्ट (बीम) के ऊपर लगाई जाती है; यह ऊपर की फिनिशिंग (जैसे लकड़ी, टाइल या कार्पेट) को सहारा देती है और फर्श को मज़बूत व समतल रखने में मदद करती है।
