Definition
The stratosphere is the second major layer of Earth’s atmosphere, extending roughly from about 10–15 km up to about 50 km above sea level; it contains the ozone layer and is characterized by temperatures that increase with height.
समतापमंडल पृथ्वी के वायुमंडल की दूसरी प्रमुख परत है, जो लगभग 10–15 किमी से लेकर लगभग 50 किमी ऊँचाई तक फैली होती है; इसमें ओज़ोन परत होती है और इसकी विशेषता यह है कि ऊँचाई बढ़ने के साथ तापमान बढ़ता है।
