Definition
Sputum is the thick fluid that is brought up from the lungs and airways when someone coughs; it may contain mucus, phlegm, pus, and saliva and is often examined in medical tests.
स्प्यूटम/थूक वह गाढ़ा द्रव है जो खाँसी के साथ फेफड़ों और श्वसन-मार्ग से निकलकर मुँह में आता है; इसमें म्यूकस/कफ, पीप और लार मिल सकती है तथा चिकित्सकीय जाँच में इसका परीक्षण किया जाता है।
