Definition
A sandbar is a long, narrow buildup of sand (sometimes with gravel or shells) deposited by moving water; it may appear above the surface at low tide and can shift position over time, affecting channels and boat routes.
सैंडबार (रेतीला टीला/रेतीली पट्टी) पानी की धारा या ज्वार-भाटा से जमा हुई रेत (कभी-कभी कंकड़ या शंख के साथ) की लंबी, संकरी पट्टी होती है; यह भाटे में पानी के ऊपर दिख सकती है और समय के साथ अपनी जगह बदल सकती है, जिससे जल-मार्ग और नौकायन मार्ग प्रभावित होते हैं।
