From rheme (linguistics term for the ‘comment/new information’ part of a clause) + -atic, ultimately from Greek rhēma ‘that which is said, word, verb’.
‘rheme’ (भाषाविज्ञान में वाक्य का ‘टिप्पणी/नई जानकारी’ वाला भाग) + -atic प्रत्यय से; ‘rheme’ का मूल अंततः ग्रीक rhēma ‘कहा हुआ/शब्द/क्रिया’ से जुड़ा है।
Definition
In linguistics (especially functional sentence perspective), rhematic describes an element that belongs to the rheme—the comment or new, focal information in a clause, contrasted with the theme/topic (given information).
भाषाविज्ञान (विशेषकर functional sentence perspective) में rhematic उस तत्व का वर्णन करता है जो ‘rheme’ से संबंधित हो—अर्थात् वाक्य/उपवाक्य का वह भाग जो नई, केंद्रित जानकारी देता है; यह theme/topic (पहले से ज्ञात/दिया हुआ) के विपरीत होता है।
