From red + head; “redhead” is recorded in English from the 16th–17th centuries, later used as a common name for various red-headed animals (including the duck Aythya americana).
red + head (लाल + सिर/माथा) से बना; “redhead” का प्रयोग अंग्रेज़ी में 16वीं–17वीं शताब्दी से मिलता है, और बाद में यह कई लाल-सिर वाले जीवों (जिसमें Aythya americana नामक बतख भी शामिल है) के प्रचलित नाम के रूप में भी इस्तेमाल होने लगा।
Definition
“Redheads” is the plural of “redhead.” It most commonly means people who have naturally red hair. In biology and common names, it can also refer to a North American diving duck called the redhead (Aythya americana), and in older usage to certain red-flowered plants (e.g., tropical milkweed) and various red-headed animals.
