From Latin procuratio (“management, agency, stewardship”), from procurare (“to take care of, manage, procure”), later via Medieval/Legal Latin and French into English.
यह शब्द लैटिन ‘procuratio’ (प्रबंधन/एजेंसी/प्रतिनिधित्व) से आया है, जो ‘procurare’ (देखभाल/प्रबंधन करना, उपलब्ध कराना/प्राप्त कराना) से बना; बाद में मध्ययुगीन/कानूनी लैटिन और फ्रेंच के माध्यम से अंग्रेज़ी में आया।
Definition
Procuration is the act of procuring or arranging to obtain something; in legal and administrative use it can mean the authority or document (a proxy/power of attorney) that empowers someone to manage another person’s affairs; historically it also referred to a church-related payment made in lieu of hosting officials during a visitation.
Procuration का अर्थ किसी वस्तु को प्राप्त कराने/उपलब्ध कराने की क्रिया है; कानूनी व प्रशासनिक संदर्भ में यह किसी दूसरे के काम-काज सँभालने के लिए दिया गया अधिकार या उसका दस्तावेज़ (प्रॉक्सी/मुख्तारनामा) भी हो सकता है; ऐतिहासिक रूप से यह चर्च की ‘विज़िटेशन’ के समय आतिथ्य के बदले दिया जाने वाला शुल्क भी था।
