Definition
A plinth is a solid base—often stone, brick, or wood—placed under a structure (like a statue, column, wall, or cabinet) to raise it, support it, and give it stability and prominence.
प्लिंथ (आधार-चबूतरा/आधार-पट्ट) वह ठोस आधार होता है—अक्सर पत्थर, ईंट या लकड़ी का—जो मूर्ति, स्तम्भ, दीवार या अलमारी जैसी संरचना के नीचे उसे ऊँचा उठाने, सहारा देने और स्थिरता/गरिमा देने के लिए बनाया जाता है।
