Definition
To plasticise means to make a substance softer, more flexible, and easier to shape—commonly by adding a plasticizer (e.g., in polymers like PVC). It can also mean that a material itself becomes more pliable. In a figurative/critical sense, it may mean to exploit something for money while ignoring its real significance.
