From Latin perambulare (“to walk through”), via perambulate + -or; later applied to a baby carriage and to a distance-measuring wheel device.
लैटिन perambulare (“घूमकर/चलकर जाना”) से, perambulate + -or के माध्यम से; बाद में यह शब्द शिशु-गाड़ी और दूरी मापने वाले पहियेदार यंत्र के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होने लगा।
Definition
A perambulator most commonly means a baby carriage (especially in British English, also called a pram). It can also refer to a person who walks around, or a wheel-based surveying/measuring instrument used to measure distance by rolling on the ground.
Perambulator का सबसे सामान्य अर्थ शिशु-गाड़ी है (विशेषकर ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में, जिसे pram भी कहते हैं)। इसका अर्थ घूमने-फिरने वाला व्यक्ति भी हो सकता है, या भूमि पर पहिया घुमाकर दूरी मापने वाला सर्वेक्षण/मापन-यंत्र भी।
