Definition
Partitive refers to expressions (or grammatical cases) that indicate a portion of something rather than the whole, e.g., “some of the water.” As an adjective it can also mean ‘dividing into parts.’
Partitive उन शब्दों/वाक्यांशों/विभक्ति-रूपों के लिए कहा जाता है जो किसी वस्तु के पूरे के बजाय उसके किसी हिस्से/अंश को दर्शाते हैं, जैसे “कुछ पानी।” विशेषण के रूप में इसका अर्थ ‘भागों में बाँटने वाला’ भी हो सकता है।
