Definition
Parentheses are a pair of round brackets—( and )—used in writing to add extra information, clarification, or an aside that is not essential to the main sentence; the inserted extra words themselves can also be called a parenthesis.
Parentheses (कोष्ठक) गोल कोष्ठकों की एक जोड़ी—( और )—होते हैं, जिनका उपयोग लिखित पाठ में अतिरिक्त जानकारी, स्पष्टीकरण, या बीच में कही गई बात (aside) जोड़ने के लिए किया जाता है; जो अतिरिक्त शब्द/वाक्यांश बीच में जोड़ा जाता है, उसे भी parenthesis कहा जा सकता है।
