यह शब्द parasitize (19वीं शताब्दी) से बना है, जिसका आधार parasite है; parasite यूनानी parasitos से आया है, जिसका अर्थ है “दूसरे की मेज़ पर खाकर जीने वाला व्यक्ति।”
Definition
Parasitizing means acting like a parasite—using a host (an animal, plant, or person) for food, shelter, or advantage while harming or weakening the host; it can be used literally in biology or figuratively in social/economic contexts.
