Definition
Papism refers to support for the Pope’s supremacy and the beliefs/practices identified with Roman Catholicism; historically it was often used by opponents as a critical or disparaging label.
पापवाद (Papism) से आशय पोप की सर्वोच्चता तथा रोमन कैथोलिक चर्च के सिद्धांतों/प्रथाओं के समर्थन या पक्षधरता से है; ऐतिहासिक रूप से यह शब्द अक्सर विरोधियों द्वारा आलोचनात्मक या तिरस्कारपूर्ण अर्थ में भी प्रयोग किया गया है।
