Definition
Ozonation is a treatment method in which ozone gas is introduced into water, air, or another medium to kill microorganisms, remove odors, and chemically oxidize pollutants. It is widely used in drinking-water treatment, wastewater treatment, and some industrial processes, and it is considered a strong oxidizing and disinfecting technique.
