Definition
Overcurrent is the condition in which the electrical current flowing in a conductor, circuit, or equipment is higher than its designed/rated value, often caused by overload, short circuit, or ground fault, and typically prevented by fuses or circuit breakers.
ओवरकरंट वह स्थिति है जिसमें किसी चालक, परिपथ या उपकरण में बहने वाली विद्युत धारा उसके निर्धारित/रेटेड मान से अधिक हो जाती है; यह अक्सर ओवरलोड, शॉर्ट सर्किट या अर्थ-फॉल्ट के कारण होता है और सामान्यतः फ्यूज़ या सर्किट ब्रेकर द्वारा रोका/सुरक्षित किया जाता है।
