Definition
Oliban is a fragrant resin (frankincense) that is burned as incense or used in perfumery and traditional rites; it comes mainly from Boswellia species and releases a sweet, balsamic smoke when heated.
ओलिबैन (फ्रैंकिन्सेन्स/लोबान) बोसवेलिया वृक्षों से प्राप्त सुगंधित गोंद-राल है, जिसे धूप/अगरबत्ती की तरह जलाया जाता है और इत्र तथा पारंपरिक/धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों में प्रयोग किया जाता है; गर्म करने पर इससे मीठी, बाल्समिक खुशबू वाला धुआँ निकलता है।
