मध्य अंग्रेज़ी oylie से, जो oil + -y (विशेषण बनाने वाला प्रत्यय) से बना; मूलतः लैटिन oleum (अर्थ: तेल) से।
Definition
Having a lot of oil on the surface or in the substance; greasy to the touch; can also describe hair/skin that produces excess oil, or speech/manners that feel over-smooth and insincere.
जिसमें तेल अधिक हो या तेल से ढका हो; छूने पर चिकना/चिकनाई वाला; बाल/त्वचा में अधिक तैलीयपन के लिए भी, और रूपक रूप में ऐसी वाणी/व्यवहार के लिए जो जरूरत से ज्यादा मीठा-चिकना और बनावटी लगे।
