Definition
Notionality refers to the degree to which something is treated as a notion—an abstract, conceptual, or theoretical idea—rather than as something concrete, factual, or directly observable; in linguistics it can describe how much meaning is carried by conceptual/content elements rather than purely grammatical function.
Notionality का अर्थ है किसी चीज़ का “धारणा/संकल्पना” के रूप में लिया जाना—यानी ठोस, तथ्यात्मक या प्रत्यक्ष रूप से देखी जा सकने वाली वास्तविकता के बजाय अमूर्त, वैचारिक या सैद्धान्तिक विचार के रूप में; भाषाविज्ञान में यह इस बात की मात्रा भी बता सकता है कि अर्थ कितना वैचारिक/विषयवस्तु-तत्वों द्वारा वहन होता है, न कि केवल व्याकरणिक कार्य से।
