यह मध्य अंग्रेज़ी “nothing/no þing” (अर्थ: ‘कोई चीज़ नहीं’) से आया है, जो पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी “nā þing” (‘कोई वस्तु नहीं’) से विकसित हुआ।
Definition
“Nothing” refers to the absence of anything, or to something so small or unimportant that it is treated as not worth considering. It can also mean “not at all” in fixed expressions (e.g., “Nothing like that”).
“Nothing” का अर्थ है किसी भी वस्तु/चीज़ का न होना, या कोई ऐसी बात/चीज़ जो इतनी तुच्छ या महत्वहीन हो कि उसे गिनती में न लिया जाए। कुछ स्थिर वाक्यांशों में यह “बिलकुल नहीं/कदापि नहीं” के अर्थ में भी आता है (जैसे, “Nothing like that”).
