Definition
A nonelectrolytic substance does not dissociate into ions when dissolved, so its solution does not conduct electricity (or conducts only negligibly). It is commonly used to describe solutions or solvents where ionic conduction does not occur, such as sugar in water (nonelectrolytic solute).
nonelectrolytic पदार्थ वह होता है जो घोल में घुलने पर आयनों में विघटित नहीं होता, इसलिए उसका घोल विद्युत का चालन नहीं करता (या बहुत नगण्य रूप से करता है)। यह शब्द प्रायः ऐसे घोल/घुलनशील पदार्थ के लिए प्रयुक्त होता है जहाँ आयनिक चालन नहीं होता, जैसे पानी में चीनी (nonelectrolytic विलेय)।
