Mythmaking is the deliberate creation or promotion of myths—stories or narratives that may be partly or wholly untrue—used to explain events, build identity, glorify a person/group, or shape public opinion.
मिथ-निर्माण (mythmaking) का अर्थ है जानबूझकर मिथकों का बनाना या फैलाना—ऐसी कथाएँ जो आंशिक या पूरी तरह असत्य हो सकती हैं—जिनका उपयोग घटनाओं की व्याख्या करने, पहचान/परंपरा गढ़ने, किसी व्यक्ति/समूह का महिमामंडन करने या जनमत को प्रभावित करने के लिए किया जाता है।
