Definition
Myotomy is a surgical procedure in which a muscle is cut to reduce abnormal contraction, relieve spasm, or widen a passage (commonly used for esophageal disorders such as achalasia).
मायोटॉमी एक शल्य-प्रक्रिया है जिसमें असामान्य संकुचन कम करने, ऐंठन/कसाव दूर करने या किसी मार्ग को चौड़ा करने के लिए मांसपेशी में चीरा लगाया जाता है (अक्सर अन्ननली के विकारों जैसे अचलेशिया में)।
