Definition
A mudskipper is a small goby fish that lives in muddy coastal areas (especially mangroves and tidal flats) and can spend long periods out of water by breathing through its skin and lining of the mouth/throat; it moves on land using strong pectoral fins.
मडस्किपर गोबी कुल की एक छोटी उभयचर मछली है जो तटीय कीचड़ वाले इलाकों (विशेषकर मैंग्रोव और ज्वार-भाटे के मैदान) में रहती है और त्वचा तथा मुंह/गले की परत से सांस लेकर लंबे समय तक पानी के बाहर रह सकती है; यह जमीन पर अपने मजबूत पेक्टोरल पंखों की मदद से चलती है।
