From milk + shake; the drink sense developed in American English in the late 19th–early 20th century, referring to milk mixed and shaken/blended.
‘milk’ + ‘shake’ से बना शब्द; पेय वाला अर्थ अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में 19वीं सदी के अंत–20वीं सदी की शुरुआत में विकसित हुआ, यानी दूध को हिलाकर/ब्लेंड करके बनाया गया पेय।
Definition
A milkshake is usually a cold, sweet, thick drink made by blending milk and ice cream, often with chocolate, fruit, or other flavorings; the word can also refer to a thinner milk drink without much ice cream, and in technical contexts to a milky oil-water emulsion in an engine.
मिल्कशेक आम तौर पर ठंडा, मीठा और गाढ़ा पेय होता है जो दूध और आइसक्रीम को (अक्सर चॉकलेट, फल या अन्य फ्लेवर के साथ) ब्लेंड करके बनाया जाता है; यह शब्द कभी-कभी बिना/कम आइसक्रीम वाले पतले दूध-आधारित पेय के लिए भी, और तकनीकी संदर्भ में इंजन में तेल और पानी के दूधिया इमल्शन के लिए भी प्रयोग होता है।
