Definition
Microcephalia is a congenital or acquired condition in which the head circumference is significantly smaller than typical for age and sex, often reflecting reduced brain growth and potentially leading to developmental delay, intellectual disability, seizures, or motor and speech difficulties.
माइक्रोसेफेलिया (अल्पशीर्षता) एक जन्मजात या बाद में विकसित होने वाली अवस्था है जिसमें उम्र और लिंग के अनुसार सिर की परिधि सामान्य से काफी कम होती है; यह अक्सर मस्तिष्क के कम विकास को दर्शाती है और इससे विकास में देरी, बौद्धिक अक्षमता, दौरे (सीज़र), तथा चलने-फिरने और बोलने में कठिनाइयाँ हो सकती हैं।
