Definition
Microbicidal describes a substance, treatment, or action that kills microorganisms rather than merely slowing their growth. It is often used for disinfectants, antiseptics, coatings, or medical procedures that are designed to eliminate microbes.
माइक्रोबिसाइडल ऐसे पदार्थ, उपचार या क्रिया को कहते हैं जो सूक्ष्मजीवों (जैसे बैक्टीरिया, वायरस या फफूंद) को केवल उनकी वृद्धि रोकने के बजाय सीधे मार देती है। यह शब्द अक्सर कीटाणुनाशकों, एंटीसेप्टिक्स, कोटिंग्स या चिकित्सीय प्रक्रियाओं के लिए प्रयोग होता है जिनका उद्देश्य सूक्ष्मजीवों का नाश करना होता है।
