From meso- (“middle”) + -pause (“stopping/end”), modeled after atmospheric terms like tropopause and stratopause; coined in scientific usage for the top of the mesosphere.
meso- (“मध्य”) + -pause (“ठहराव/सीमा/अंत”) से बना शब्द; tropopause और stratopause जैसे वायुमंडलीय शब्दों के अनुरूप, मेसोस्फीयर की ऊपरी सीमा के लिए वैज्ञानिक प्रयोग में गढ़ा गया।
Definition
The mesopause is the transition layer at the top of the mesosphere (around 80–100 km above Earth) where temperatures reach their minimum before rising again in the thermosphere.
मेसोपॉज़ (mesopause) मेसोस्फीयर (मध्य वायुमंडल) के शीर्ष पर स्थित संक्रमण-परत है (लगभग 80–100 किमी ऊँचाई पर), जहाँ वायुमंडलीय तापमान सबसे कम होता है और इसके ऊपर थर्मोस्फीयर में फिर बढ़ने लगता है।
