लैटिन menstruāre (“मासिक धर्म होना/मासिक स्राव होना”) से; यह menstruus (“मासिक/हर महीने होने वाला”) और आगे mensis (“महीना”) से बना है।
Definition
To have the monthly flow of blood from the uterus as part of the menstrual cycle; in older/rare use, it can also mean to stain with menstrual blood, and as an adjective it means ‘menstrual’.
मासिक चक्र के भाग के रूप में गर्भाशय से होने वाला मासिक रक्तस्राव (पीरियड) होना; पुराने/दुर्लभ प्रयोग में इसका अर्थ मासिक रक्त से दाग़ लगाना भी हो सकता है, और विशेषण रूप में इसका अर्थ ‘मासिक धर्म संबंधी’ होता है।
