Definition
Used to describe the time in European history between ancient and modern periods, or things (art, architecture, customs, ideas) typical of that era; sometimes used critically to mean old-fashioned, cruel, or backward.
मध्य युग (लगभग 500–1500 ई.) या उस समय से जुड़ी विशेषताओं का वर्णन करने के लिए; कला, वास्तुकला, रीति-रिवाज, विचार आदि जो उस दौर के विशिष्ट हों। कभी-कभी आलोचनात्मक रूप से बहुत पुराना, क्रूर या पिछड़ा कहने के लिए भी प्रयोग होता है।
