From mast + head: originally nautical, meaning the head (top) of a mast; later extended to printing/newspapers for the heading at the top of the front page.
'mast' (मस्तूल) + 'head' (शीर्ष/ऊपरी भाग) से बना; पहले नौकायन में मस्तूल के शीर्ष के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ, बाद में छपाई/अख़बारों में पहले पन्ने के ऊपर छपे शीर्षक/हेडिंग के अर्थ में विस्तार हुआ।

Masthead refers mainly to the title/banner area at the top of a newspaper, magazine, or website that displays the publication’s name and often details like date, issue, logo, and staff information; in nautical use, it can also mean the top part of a ship’s mast.
'मास्टहेड' मुख्यतः अख़बार/पत्रिका/वेबसाइट के सबसे ऊपर छपे शीर्षक/बैनर को कहते हैं, जिसमें प्रकाशन का नाम और अक्सर तारीख, अंक, लोगो तथा स्टाफ/संपादकीय जानकारी होती है; नौकायन में इसका अर्थ जहाज़ के मस्तूल का सबसे ऊपरी हिस्सा भी होता है।
